AUTOBIOGRAPHY

I was born in Tanjung Karang, Selangor on 30 July 1977. I am the eldest child of six siblings and was raised in Klang. I have four brothers and one sister. I am a single, friendly person, very independent, hardworking, responsibility person and committed to success. My early education at the National School Telok Gadong, Klang and secondary education in Methodist Girls School Klang. At the age of 10 years, I began to realized the importance of an education after my late father had encouraged us to be an educational person.

I have a degree holder in Business Administration with majoring in Human Resource and DipIoma in Business Administration with 16 working years experience. Since 1996, I start began my career as a HR clerk in manufacturing company in Auto Parts Manufacturer (APM). Now, I am living with my housemate in Shah Alam, Selangor. Currently, I am holding the position of Admin & HR Executive in Oil & Gas company called Time Temasek Sdn Bhd.
By year 2012, I hope to be in upper management with my current employer and looking higher education.  Hence I aspire to pursue an Master Degree (MBA) and also trying to look for businesses in which I could use my management experience to build my skills in the future.

My life
My name is Hasniza Abu Kasim and I grew up in Kg Delek, Klang. I am the eldest sister and the first child in my family. Everyone address me as Niza. My late father occupation is a Sailor in Klang Port Management (KPM). While my mother is a fulltime housewife. After SPM, I was not able to continue my study in the high level of education as my father's health condition does not allow. My late father was suffering from heart disease, ulcers and diabetes are serious. Due to his unhealthy condition, he was not working and taking medical board. I was 23 years old, very young and had to work to provide for my family. Due to the responsibilities,   I had to work and gain employment. In 1996, I worked as a clerk in Human Resource in an Automotive factory located in Pandamaran, Port Klang.
In 1998, I continued study in the field of distance learning Diploma in Business Administration at the Tutorial Institute Klang. As a part time student, I have to attended classes on weekdays. Finally, I have obtained my Diploma in Business Administration and was graduated in 1999. On January 14, 2001, my father had died and I was putting all the responsibility of the family. At the same time, five of my siblings are studying in universities, secondary schools and primary schools. Therefore, I had to work hard to provide my family.
 I intend to pursue Bachelor in Business Administration, but had to be delayed due to inadequate financial problems. In 2004, I have been applying for admission to the Open University Malaysia (OUM) remotely. Thanks to Allah, my  intention  has  been fulfilled  and  so  I  am  determined  to  get  a  degree  that  has  managed  to fulfill my desires and my late father wishes.

During my studies at the University, once again I forged many trials and challenges including a lot of work pressure and factories laid off due to my work place is closed. Even so, I will not give up to continue my education also. Competition with students who are more mature and experienced, my brothers who  are  studying  makes me  more  competitive  and  inspired me to continue to succeed. It is the influence that I have on my siblings as well as my personal goals that have driven me to excel in all I do and try to be good role model  for  my siblings  along  with  others  I  come  into  contact  with as well. My family gave me  a lot of enthusiasm and commitment. My family are the most important part of my life as well as my successes.

Achievements
As a distance learner and taking the duration of study for four years at OUM, I should follow 3 types of methods learning in OUM includes to study smart, active participated in forum and discussion, attended the class on weekend, to build a good relationship with mature students, dedicated, innovative and good at managing the time management. Throughout the study as a part time student in OUM thus a working adult, my name have listed in the Dean's list for two semesters which is on May 2005 and May 2008. I have also success to managed my quality time and to produced a good quality of assignments for the course and also participated well in the class in term of discussion and also online forum. 

Finally, on 14 November 2009, a  convocation  was  held  and  the  day was a historic day  for  me  to have succeeded  in  obtaining  a  Bachelor  of  Business  Administration in majoring in Human Resource from Open University Malaysia (OUM). Hence, my family and I was so happy during that time.

Although many trials and challenges that I have encountered to take responsibility for the family and myself, I have tried to work hard and improve the performance of my career. I was promoted to supervisor level at the workplace in APM.   I also enjoy learning  a new field, thus enhancing my knowledge and skills by reading, inquiry, surfing the internet and attending courses organized by where    I work.

Furthermore, I actively in sports especially playing badminton and won the women's singles badminton championships for three consecutive years (1999, 2000 & 2001) in  APM.  I also enjoyed playing netball and had won in 2nd runner-up between inter department game when I was in APM.    

When I was working in APM, I have been named listed as top performers among other staffs in 2002. I like to taking up a challenging career, work closely as a team work, fast learner and contributed all my knowledge and skills.


In 2003, I had migrated to work in Shah Alam and work in Intro Frontier Sdn Bhd, the Automotive industry. During my services, I have expanded my experience and apply knowledge in the field of Admin and Human Resource.

In 2006 until 2010, I had joined a lot of companies including MNC’s company, Sidel Industry (M) Sdn Bhd, Destar Indah Sdn Bhd, Far East Oil Terminal (M) Sdn Bhd and Multimedia Development Corporation. I have applied my experience and knowledge in terms of work and learning. Therefore, I also was promoted to Executive position where I worked. I was given the opportunity to use my knowledge and ideas for the purpose of my staff development processes, improve communications and enterprise between employers and employees and others.
           
My hobbies are reading, listening to music and playing badminton. While, my favourite films are action movies. Among the favorites music that I like are music slow rock and sentimental. My favorite books are science fiction books, management, motivation and religion. 

Accomplishments / My experiences
Having the experience of working with Local, Bumiputera and Multinational company including working in Semi Government company like MDeC is a larger organization. Overall, my main job responsibilities within the company are to oversea all areas in Human Resource and Administration. Human Resource Management involves the development of a perfect blend between traditional administrative functions and well-being of all employees within an organization.

There are many advantages, especially working with MNC company includes the study of foreign cultures, professional growth, different work culture and the advantages of convenience and benefits offered. Among the courses are attended are Industrial Relations & Labour Law, 7QCC tools, Writing Skills for the Office, Supervisor Skills Solve problems effectively, the National Building and others.

Equipped with the relevant trainings and valuable experience, I have a passionate about sharing and imparting my knowledge and skills to those who are eager for self advancement and who aspire to be all they can be. I also believe the company shall provide the employees with training in the skills necessary needed to perform their job and therefore it is the employee’s responsibilities to emphasize the scales with their work.
To this point in my life I have worked hard to achieved my educational goals and my career to obtaining my Master in Business Administration (MBA).

My outlook
By the year 2012, I hope to be in upper management with my current employer and looking higher. The outlook for my future is a good one due to my family and education. In view of myself, I can see my future as being a top quality manager in a position of important involving critical decision making that drives a company to competition and wins.

To this point in my life I have worked hard to achieve my educational goals from obtained my Diploma and Degree in Business Administration. I can see that I’m capable to manage and handle the administrative and Human Resource jobs well in my current company.

I can see my work experience and education, contribution towards company made myself to be best employee and ability to be successful in the future environment. I find myself in or endeavor I may pursue.

Conclusion
As stated in the beginning, I have always placed a great importance on education and had a drive to learn more and excel in life. I would like to see my family continue their educational interests no matter what they are. I would hope that through all of my experiences in my personal as well as professional life that this will provide the foundation on which my family can succeed and as a professional to help the company I work for to succeed as well.

I hope you have enjoyed my autobiography, I think you can see that my life has been based on hard work, education and responsibility. It is these principles that I believe can have the greatest effect on anyone’s successes.
